Netflix expands its mystery thriller lineup with ‘The Final Problem’, a Spanish period drama adapted from the 2023 novel by Arturo Pérez-Reverte . Directed by Félix Viscarret, the miniseries transports viewers to June 1959 on an isolated islet off the coast of Mallorca.

When a guest is unexpectedly murdered during a violent storm, thirteen strangers become trapped together while an amateur sleuth searches for the culprit. The high-stakes locked-room mystery brings together an acclaimed ensemble cast of veteran Spanish and Portuguese actors.

José Coronado

In ‘The Final Problem’, José Coronado leads the cast as Benjamin Basil, a retired actor famous for his past cinematic portrayal of Sherlock Holmes.
