‘His & Hers’ Trailer Reveals Twists and Lies with Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal
Netflix has released the first trailer for His & Hers, an upcoming mystery thriller limited series. The show is based on Alice Feeney’s 2020 novel of the same name and will premiere on January 8, 2026. New episodes will be available on a weekly schedule.
The series stars Tessa Thompson as Anna, a news anchor, and Jon Bernthal as Detective Jack Harper. The story follows their investigation into a murder, but tensions rise as both search for the truth in different ways.
In the trailer, Jack insists he had no role in the victim’s death, while Anna’s narration hints at hidden secrets. “There’s always more than one side to the story. Someone has to be lying,” she says.

Supporting cast members include Pablo Schreiber as Richard, Crystal Fox as Anna’s mother Alice, Sunita Mani as Priya, and Rebecca Rittenhouse as Lexy. Thompson also serves as an executive producer. In September 2024, Bernthal, Schreiber, Fox, Mani, and Rittenhouse were announced as part of the main cast.
Additional recurring roles were revealed the following month, including Marin Ireland, Poppy Liu, Chris Bauer, Rhoda Griffis, and Jamie Tisdale.
Filming for the series took place in Atlanta, Georgia, beginning on September 24, 2024, and continued into December. The miniseries promises a limited but suspenseful story, with twists and conflicts between the main characters building toward a dramatic conclusion.
