Hollywood’s Favorite Duo, Aniston and Affleck, Star in Dunkin’ Donuts Ad
Jennifer Aniston and Ben Affleck are back together on screen for a new Dunkin’ Donuts commercial ahead of Super Bowl LX, but fans are divided over the ad.
In the commercial, Affleck tells Aniston, Jen, Matt I got a pitch for you. What’s old is new, what’s cringe is good, what’s up is down we’re sitting on a gold mine. He goes on to call the idea the pinnacle of their careers, joking that no other studio would hear him out. The humor becomes more surreal when Affleck sings a version of the viral “six-seven” meme, a move clearly aimed at younger audiences.

Reaction online has been mixed. Many viewers said they didn’t understand the joke. One person wrote, I don’t get it, is it supposed to be meta or just weird? Others noticed that Aniston is mostly shown from behind, leading to speculation that a body double was used for part of the shoot.
Affleck has been busy in recent months. He recently finished filming the Netflix thriller The Rip with Matt Damon. He also runs the production company Artists Equity, which he co-founded to help ensure fair pay for creatives in Hollywood.
Jennifer Aniston is equally occupied. She is preparing to star in and executive produce the Apple TV+ miniseries I’m Glad My Mom Died, where she plays Jennette McCurdy’s controlling mother. In addition, she is filming the fifth season of The Morning Show and managing her haircare brand LolaVie and her role as Chief Creative Officer for Vital Proteins.
The ad tries to be funny and nostalgic but ends up a bit confusing. The star power of Aniston and Affleck is strong, but the joke may not land for everyone. What do you think—does the Dunkin’ ad capture the magic of 90s sitcoms, or has this partnership run out of steam? Share your thoughts in the comments.
