James Gunn’s new Superman movie has just hit theaters all over the world, and fans are loving it.

This latest reboot stars David Corenswet as Superman, with Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Nathan Fillion, and others in the cast. The film is already doing great, with $21 million earned from previews and an impressive 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

But what’s caught a lot of attention online isn’t just the movie itself, it’s a viral video of a fan dressed as Homelander, the main villain from Amazon Prime’s hit show The Boys. The clip shows the fan walking through a theater during a Superman screening wearing a full Homelander costume.

The best part? Antony Starr, who plays Homelander, saw the video and shared it on his Instagram Stories. He called the fan’s move “a stud move” and added, “This really needs to be an example to all. More people should turn up in rival costuming.”

This moment means a lot for fans who know the characters well. Homelander is basically the dark mirror of Superman. He’s powerful and has many of the same abilities like flying, super strength, and heat vision, but he uses his powers for fear and control, unlike Superman, who fights for good.

Homelander’s costume and look were actually designed to be the evil version of heroes like Superman and Captain America.

The video and Antony Starr’s reaction show how much fun fans and actors alike are having with these rival superhero stories. It’s a cool nod to how these characters, though similar, represent very different ideas.

This is not the first time that Starr commented on Superman. Previously, he weighed in on a debate on who is more powerful and who would win in a fight, Superman or Homelander:

Antony Starr: Oh, really? Is that what he thinks? Here’s why Homelander would kick Superman’s ass. There’s no Kryptonite factor, and Homie would fight so dirty. He’s the [type to go], “Oh, you got me!” as he goes down and then comes up and throws sand in your eyes. He’s a dirty dude, man. Whereas Superman is always like, “Oh, I wouldn’t do that. Oh, there’s innocent children that might get hurt.” Homie’s going to human shield himself with the kids.
