Hulu’s ‘All’s Fair’ Adds Brazilian Star Cauã Reymond as Series Regular for Season 2

Ryan Murphy has built a career on assembling star-studded ensembles that generate buzz regardless of critical reception, and his Hulu legal drama has proven to be no exception to that formula. Despite a rocky start with critics, the show’s cultural staying power has kept it firmly in the conversation heading into its next chapter.

That staying power became especially clear when Hulu moved quickly to renew the series for a second season, even before its freshman run had fully wrapped. With production on that new season already completed, the show’s ensemble cast is now getting an intriguing new addition.

Hulu’s ‘All’s Fair‘ is welcoming Brazilian actor and model Cauã Reymond to its series regular cast for season 2, according to an exclusive report. Reymond joins the main ensemble alongside Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Matthew Noszka, Sarah Paulson, and Glenn Close, though details about which character he’ll be playing remain under wraps for now.

‘All’s Fair’ follows Allura Grant, played by Kardashian, who sets up a female-led divorce attorney firm alongside Liberty Ronson, played by Watts, and Emerald Greene, played by Nash-Betts. The team also includes assistant Milan, played by Taylor, who finds herself entangled in an affair with Grant’s NFL husband, Chase Munroe, played by Noszka, after the group leaves a male-dominated firm with backing from Dina Standish, played by Close.

The series follows the group as they navigate high-stakes breakups, scandalous secrets, and shifting allegiances both inside the courtroom and within their own ranks, all while contending with a fierce rivalry against competitor Carrington Lane, played by Paulson. That mix of soapy drama and legal intrigue has become central to the show’s identity heading into its sophomore season.

Reymond most recently starred as a soccer player-turned-sports-agent in TV Globo’s ‘The Playoffs,’ a series he also co-created and co-directed two episodes of. He’s well known in Brazil for his work on major telenovelas, including ‘Brazil Avenue’ and ‘Anything Goes,’ giving him significant star power heading into his first major American series regular role.

His film credits include ‘Pedro,’ ‘Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea,’ and ‘Mercy,’ rounding out a career that spans both television and film across multiple decades. Reymond is represented by Entertainment 360 and Goodman Genow Schenkman.

‘All’s Fair’ has remained a fascinating case study in the gap between critical reception and audience enthusiasm since its premiere. Despite earning a widely panned response from critics, the series became Hulu’s biggest scripted series premiere in three years, generating 3.2 million views globally within its first three days on the platform.

Teyana Taylor has previously addressed the show’s rocky critical reception directly, defending the series during an appearance at the Governors Awards. “It’s our first season. Give us a little bit of grace,” Taylor said in an interview with Variety. She’s also spoken about the bonds formed on set, noting that regardless of how audiences received the show, she “gained sisters” she genuinely loves through the experience.

Production on ‘All’s Fair’ season 2 has already wrapped, with filming running from May through August of this year. With Reymond now confirmed as part of the ensemble, anticipation continues building around exactly how his character will factor into the group’s already tangled web of relationships and rivalries.

Given the show’s massive viewership numbers despite its critical drubbing, ‘All’s Fair’ has clearly found an audience that keeps coming back regardless of reviews.
