Ice Spice Sparks Outrage After Wearing Racy Outfit Showing Panties at Kids’ SpongeBob Premiere
Ice Spice is facing heavy online criticism after showing up at a children’s movie event in an outfit many people felt crossed the line. The rapper attended a New York City screening of The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, a film aimed at families and younger viewers.
Instead of dressing low-key, Ice Spice wore a see-through white dress that revealed her bra and panties underneath. Photos and videos from the event quickly spread online, especially after Pop Crave shared clips of her posing with actors dressed as SpongeBob and Patrick. Paramount Pictures later reposted the footage, which helped the moment reach an even bigger audience.

That attention sparked strong reactions. Many parents and social media users questioned why such a revealing outfit was worn to a PG-rated movie event where children were present. One comment that gained traction online read, “Wearing this to a kids event is actually disgusting.” Another person wrote, “Why did they allow HER to make a song for a kids movie.”
Not everyone agreed with the backlash. Some users defended Ice Spice and said the outfit was only a problem for adults. One commenter argued, “Im ngl its only adults that find her outfit innaporiate.”
So far, Ice Spice has not responded publicly to the criticism. The film, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, is set to be released in theaters on December 19.
