Insider Reveals Exciting New Scene from ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 2’

The follow-up to the 2023 hit, Five Nights at Freddy’s, is officially in the works. The new movie, titled Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, will continue the story from the first film. It’s directed by Emma Tammi and written by the original game creator, Scott Cawthon. Many actors from the first movie are back, including Josh Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt, Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa, Piper Rubio as Abby, and Matthew Lillard as William Afton.

New faces like Skeet Ulrich, Wayne Knight, Mckenna Grace, and Teo Briones have also joined the cast. Skeet Ulrich is expected to play Henry Emily, a key character from the game series, though some roles are still being kept under wraps.

The idea for a sequel was first mentioned by Cawthon in 2018. He said a second movie would depend on how well the first one did. This became official in 2024 when Josh Hutcherson confirmed the sequel’s development early that year, and Blumhouse Productions made it official in April.

Jim Henson’s Creature Shop is returning to create the animatronics again, promising the creepy designs fans loved.

Filming for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 began in November 2024 and finished in February 2025. Actor Matthew Lillard had mentioned back in October 2024 that filming would start near the end of the month, which turned out to be true. He also signed a deal to appear in three movies, so fans can expect to see more of him in the future.

The movie is scheduled to hit theaters in the United States on December 5, 2025, through Universal Pictures.

Recently, industry insider Daniel Richtman shared a new detail about the film on his Patreon page. He revealed there will be a scene where Vanessa and Charlotte celebrate a birthday inside the pizzeria. What stands out is the addition of a water ride with boats inside the pizzeria. This suggests the filmmakers are going for bigger, more elaborate sets and new surprises for viewers.

With the return of familiar characters, fresh faces, and unexpected elements like indoor boat rides, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 looks like it will offer a fresh and thrilling experience. Fans will have to wait until December to see if the film lives up to the hype.
