The final episode of Invincible Season 4 is about to arrive, and a new trailer shows that the danger is far from over. The preview was released by the show’s official pages and Amazon Prime Video, giving fans a short look at what is coming next.

The story picks up after a brutal turn in Episode 7. Thragg finally joined the fight and proved how powerful he is. He attacked both Omni-Man and Mark Grayson and killed Thaedus as revenge. Even though Viltrum was destroyed, the victory did not bring relief. Oliver was left seriously hurt, and the Coalition of Planets is now struggling to stay hopeful.

The new trailer focuses on a quiet moment between Mark and Nolan while they are still away from Earth. Mark is worried about what could happen next. Nolan tries to calm him and says, “We’re not even sure Thragg’s there.” But Mark believes the threat is real and close.

The final part of the trailer makes things clear. Several Viltrumites are shown watching Earth from above. Thragg is with them, and it looks like they are ready to act. The preview suggests they are not planning a direct attack right away. Instead, they may try to move in slowly and stay hidden among humans.

Because Mark and Nolan are still far away, they cannot return in time to protect the planet. This leaves Earth in the hands of Cecil and the Guardians, who may have to face the Viltrumites alone.

The direction of the story may follow events from the original Invincible. In the comics, after losing their home, the Viltrumites change their plan. They choose to live on Earth and rebuild their numbers by creating hybrid children with humans. This approach allows them to grow stronger without starting another large war.

In that version, Thragg agrees to stop fighting, but only if his people can stay on Earth. He explains that they will not interfere with human life for now. Mark and Nolan accept this deal, even though they are not comfortable with it, because it ends the conflict.

If the show follows this path, the finale could lead into a tense future where humans and Viltrumites live side by side. Trust will likely become a major issue moving forward, especially between Mark and Thragg.

The Season 4 finale of Invincible will be released on April 22 on Prime Video.

This setup makes the story more interesting than a simple fight. It creates tension that can grow over time instead of ending quickly. At the same time, it is a risky direction because it changes the type of conflict in the show. What do you think about this shift? Do you prefer big battles or a slower, more uneasy story?
