Fast-food brands have long treated blockbuster season as a chance to dress up their menus, and the closer a big movie gets, the more cheeky the marketing becomes. With ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ approaching its December 18, 2026 release date, the tie-ins are arriving thick and fast.

A growing list of companies have already built campaigns around the film. Dunkin’, Oreo, M&M’s and Pop Secret have introduced or teased promotions, and Williams F1 and Major League Baseball have each released their own teasers featuring Doctor Doom.

Now another familiar mascot is climbing aboard. Jack in the Box is teasing a new ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ collaboration, and the approach is delightfully on brand.

The brand shared a 19-second teaser that parodies the ominous tone of the film’s marketing. It shows Jack sitting on a throne in a dark, green-lit hall, mirroring the look of Doctor Doom’s lair.

Jack taps his fingers on a green box that appears to have a rectangular door or vault on one side. The only clue is that vault-like box resting beside him on the throne.

So far, the chain hasn’t revealed what the collaboration will include. The teaser leaves the question wide open, and the box seems to be locked for now.

The setting is a direct nod to Doom’s own stage. One of the most recognizable images from the marketing so far has Robert Downey Jr.’s Doom sitting on his throne, bathed in green and yellow light thanks to the stained-glass windows behind him.

Marvel has leaned into that look repeatedly. The first trailer opened on the throne, and Marvel has displayed the physical throne at an expo in Shanghai. Doom’s seat is also getting a collectible version, with a 1/6 scale replica from Hot Toys.

It’s a perfect target for parody. A brand with a mascot built around a clown-faced character in a business suit is practically tailor-made to play the king for a day.

This wouldn’t be the chain’s first superhero team-up. Jack in the Box previously partnered with Marvel for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, so a return to the franchise wouldn’t be a surprise.

Whether this one will involve special menu items, collectibles or something else entirely remains to be seen. One outlet speculated that collectibles could be coming, but nothing has been confirmed.

What is clear is that the potential partnership would add another fast-food chain to the growing list of brands building buzz for the film. For now, the only thing standing between Doctor Doom and total drive-thru domination is whatever Jack has locked inside his mysterious box.

The timing makes sense. Marvel has kept releasing new teasers as the date nears, including a recent spot built around the rallying cry “Stand together.” The studio also dropped a baseball-themed promo during the World Series that showed the Fantastic Four at a ballgame before Doom crashes the party.

Presales have also been strong. Reports say ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ has shattered Disney’s presale record in Germany, beating ‘Endgame’, and has broken records in multiple markets. Partners like Jack in the Box are clearly eager to ride that wave.

The film itself arrives with a stacked ensemble. Robert Downey Jr. plays Doctor Doom, and the movie is the first to unite the Avengers and the X-Men, under directors Joe and Anthony Russo. It opens on the same day as ‘Dune: Part Three’, a showdown that has been dubbed “Dunesday.”

For now, the brand has revealed nothing about when the collaboration will launch or what fans will get. It remains a pure tease, and a short one.

That mystery may be the point. With so many brands competing for attention ahead of a massive December opening, a single throne and a locked box is enough to get people talking.
