Warner Bros. is bringing James Gunn’s 2025 hit Superman to home viewers with a big digital release on August 15, followed by 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD editions hitting shelves on September 23. Fans can look forward to a treasure trove of bonus content that’s sure to excite any Superman enthusiast.

The home release is loaded with extra features, including a director’s commentary by James Gunn himself, deleted scenes that didn’t make the final cut, and a funny gag reel. There are also nine featurettes that dive deeper into the making of the movie and its characters. One of the highlights is the hour-long documentary Adventures in Making Superman, which takes fans behind the scenes of the entire production process.

Other featurettes explore different parts of the Superman universe, like Icons Forever: Superman’s Enduring Legacy and Lex Luthor: The Mind of a Master Villain. Music lovers will enjoy Kryptunes: The Music of Superman, while animal fans get Paws to Pixels: Krypto is Born, focusing on the adorable Kryptonian dog, Krypto. There’s also Breaking News: The Daily Planet Returns, The Ultimate Villain, The Justice Gang, and A New Era: DC Takes Off. Plus, the set includes a special bonus called Krypto Saves the Day!: School Bus Scuffle, which promises to show the heroic canine in action, though details are still under wraps.

Superman is the first movie in the new DC Universe and a reboot of the Superman film series. Written and directed by James Gunn, it stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, alongside Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult as the villainous Lex Luthor, and others including Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, and Isabela Merced.
