Jennifer Aniston Shares the Sweet Reason Adam Sandler Sends Her Flowers Every Mother’s Day
Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler have shared a strong friendship for nearly 20 years, both on and off the screen.
The two actors, who have starred together in several comedies, including Just Go With It and Murder Mystery, continue to support each other in personal ways that go beyond Hollywood.
In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal Magazine, Aniston revealed a touching gesture that highlights how close they are. Every Mother’s Day, Sandler and his wife, Jackie, send her flowers, a tradition that means a lot to her.
The Friends star, now 54, has often faced public judgment for not having children, something she’s spoken about more openly in recent years. In a 2021 conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Aniston shared how the constant rumors about her personal life once affected her deeply.
She said she used to take the stories about pregnancy and motherhood very personally. “It’s like, you have no clue what’s going on with me personally, medically,” she explained, calling the public speculation “hurtful and nasty.”
Aniston also criticized the double standards women face in Hollywood. She noted that while men are rarely questioned about marriage or parenthood, women often face pressure and scrutiny. “Men can be married as many times as they want to,” she said, “but women aren’t allowed to do that.”
In 2022, during an interview with Allure, Aniston revealed for the first time that she had gone through a difficult fertility journey.
She said she had tried to have a child and went through rounds of IVF and other treatments, but it didn’t work out. “I was trying to get pregnant,” she said. “It was a challenging road for me.”
Looking back, Aniston said she wished someone had advised her to freeze her eggs when she was younger. But instead of focusing on what might have been, she said she now feels peace about it. “There is a relief now,” she explained. “I don’t have to think about it anymore.”
She also pushed back against the long-standing rumors that painted her as someone who chose career over family. Aniston called those claims “lies,” adding that she has nothing to hide. “God forbid a woman is successful and doesn’t have a child,” she said, addressing the criticism she faced after her marriage ended.
Aniston’s openness has resonated with many fans who see her story as a reminder of the unfair expectations often placed on women, both in Hollywood and beyond.
