Jennifer Lawrence Drops Her NSFW Nickname
Jennifer Lawrence recently gave fans a hilarious peek into her unfiltered sense of humor during an appearance on Amy Poehler’s podcast, Good Hang. The Oscar-winning actress opened up about her life, her nicknames, and even shared a shocking NSFW name that had both her and Poehler laughing uncontrollably.
The conversation started normally, but things quickly took a cheeky turn when Poehler asked Lawrence if she had any nicknames growing up. Lawrence first shared a few innocent ones like “Fluffin” and “Nitro.” She explained about “Nitro”: “My brothers, cause I was really hyper and they called me Nitro.”
Then, she dropped the bombshell: “B****s.” The NSFW moniker immediately sent the podcast into chaos. Lawrence tried to save face with humor, joking, “B****s Lawrence with the full governmental name.” Poehler was nearly falling off her chair laughing, and listeners got a full display of Lawrence’s wild and playful personality.
Aside from the NSFW nickname, Lawrence shared that her friends also tease her in other ways. She revealed that they call her “Ken from the Barbie movie” as a running joke. “I think it’s their way of calling me stupid,” she admitted. Fans of the Barbie film immediately understood the reference to Ryan Gosling’s character, whose only job is basically “beach.”
The podcast also touched on Lawrence’s pop culture habits. When asked which job she would take on the reality show Below Deck, she joked: “I would go into that laundry and I’d f**** that laundry up.” She explained that it would be a low-drama role and give her time to listen to true crime stories while working.
Lawrence didn’t stop at TV habits, she even dropped a quick fashion tip for her listeners. “Big goes with big,” she said, referring to clothing balance. “If you’re gonna have a baggy and a tight, you cannot ever have a tight on the bottom, baggy on the top, or you’ll look like a lamp.” Her advice emphasized comfort while staying visually balanced.
On the career front, Lawrence has been busy promoting her latest film, Die My Love, directed by Lynne Ramsay. She plays a mother struggling to maintain her sanity in a rural setting, marking a return to intense dramatic roles. This follows her success in No Hard Feelings, a raunchy comedy she also produced.
Lawrence first became a household name as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games series and won an Academy Award for Silver Linings Playbook. She now has four Oscar nominations under her belt and runs a production company, Excellent Cadaver, which recently released the documentary Bread & Roses.
During the podcast, she teased her next career move: “I wrote a comedy. I would love to direct it and I’ll star in it.” Fans now have something to look forward to: her directorial debut. Meanwhile, Poehler is enjoying her own success. Her podcast, Good Hang, recently won the 2026 Golden Globe for Best Podcast, and she continues to shine in projects like Inside Out 2.
The full interview gave fans a mix of laugh-out-loud moments, playful confessions, and insight into how Jennifer Lawrence navigates life, friendship, and her evolving career.
