Jennifer Lopez dazzled on the red carpet at the 16th Governors Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, wearing a show-stopping black and ivory Tamara Ralph couture gown from the Fall/Winter 2025 collection.

The 56-year-old starlet turned heads with a strapless design that highlighted her signature hourglass figure. The dress featured a dramatic black velvet panel down the center, paired with long opera gloves, while the ivory sections were layered with sheer black tulle for a slightly gothic vibe.

JLo styled her honey-blonde hair in a relaxed updo, leaving loose strands to frame her face. She completed the look with pearl-and-diamond drop earrings. The actress, who recently became a global ambassador for a diamond company, looked every bit the Hollywood icon.

Her appearance came just weeks after the release of her latest film, Kiss of the Spider Woman, which premiered on October 10.

In the movie, Lopez plays Aurora, a fantasy character imagined by Luis Molina, a jailed gay hairdresser portrayed by Tonatiuh. Luis creates films starring Aurora to escape the harsh reality of his eight-year prison sentence. The film also stars Diego Luna and is based on the 1993 Broadway musical, which itself was adapted from Manuel Puig’s 1976 novel. A previous film version of the story was released in 1985, directed by Héctor Babenco.

While promoting the project, Lopez credited her ex-husband Ben Affleck for helping bring the movie to life. “The movie wouldn’t have been made if it [weren’t] for him and Artists Equity…I will always give him that credit,” she said on CBS Sunday Morning in September. She added, “They financed it. I told him this was the role I was born to play and I wanted to do it, and he was like, ‘Okay,’ and he helped make it happen.”

Fans have already praised Lopez’s performance, calling her portrayal a striking evolution of her acting and musical talent, with some even predicting an Oscar nomination.
