Although his filmography includes various different roles, John Boyega is probably best known for playing Finn in the Star Wars universe. Seeing how Star Wars is now owned by Disney, many believed that Boyega would make a natural transfer to the MCU at one point, but that hasn’t happened.

In fact, Boyega has been adamant about not wanting to join the MCU or work with Disney ever again, which stems from the bad experience he had working on Star Wars. The fans wanted him to appear as Kang, but Boyega was always firm in his rejections.

Now, it seems that things have changed and Boyega has actually revealed that there is a potential MCU character he would, indeed, like to play and the idea – in all honesty – is quite exciting!

This information was confirmed on social media, actually. First, we got the piece of news that Kevin Feige personally asked Boyega whom he would like to play in the MCU, but the actor did not have an answer for him. Knowing that he did not want to work with Disney again, this shouldn’t come as a surprise.

But, when one fan suggested that he could play Bishop from the X-Men universe, Boyega agreed and revealed that he would, indeed, like to play him.

Seeing how the X-Men will make an appearance in the MCU soon, there is a solid chance that Boyega could appear as Bishop. Still, it remains to be seen whether this was just a wish of his or a complete change of mind, as we don’t know how this comment is related to his relationship with Disney.

Also, in case you’ve forgotten, Bishop has already appeared on the big screen. The character appeared in X-Men: Days of Future Past, where he was played by Omar Sy.
