John Krasinski Brings ‘A Quiet Place Part III’ to Theaters – Release Date Revealed
The terrifying silence will return to theaters in 2027. John Krasinski has confirmed that A Quiet Place Part III will arrive on July 9, 2027, bringing back the deadly, noise-hunting aliens for another tense chapter in the popular horror series.
Krasinski, who has earned four Primetime Emmy nominations in his career, announced on social media that he will be back to direct, write, and produce the new movie. The actor-filmmaker did not share any plot details, and the cast has not yet been revealed.
The A Quiet Place franchise began in 2018 with Krasinski’s first film, which he also co-wrote. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where blind extraterrestrial creatures hunt humans using their sharp sense of hearing.
The first film was a surprise hit, praised for its fresh approach to horror and emotional storytelling. Krasinski returned in 2020 to direct A Quiet Place Part II, which expanded the world and continued the survival story of the Abbott family.
In 2024, a spinoff prequel called A Quiet Place: Day One arrived, directed by Michael Sarnoski. That film explored the earliest days of the alien invasion, showing how the chaos began. Between all three movies, the series has earned over $900 million worldwide, making it one of Paramount’s biggest modern hits.
The franchise has even moved beyond film. In 2024, the video game A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead was released, allowing players to experience survival in the dangerous, silent world.
Plans for a third main entry have been in the works for years. Back in 2021, Emily Blunt, who starred in the first two films, shared that Krasinski already had ideas for a final chapter. She explained that he wanted to see how audiences reacted to Part II before committing to the next installment. By 2022, Paramount officially announced A Quiet Place Part III for a 2025 release, but delays pushed it back. In August 2025, the studio finally locked in July 9, 2027, as the official date.
Krasinski has described the series as a complete trilogy, suggesting that Part III will likely serve as the finale to the Abbott family’s story. While details remain under wraps, fans can expect the same mix of tense silence, sudden scares, and emotional depth that made the first two films so memorable.
