Jonathan Bailey Tops 2025 Box Office with Record-Breaking Year

Jonathan Bailey is having a huge year at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing actor of 2025. His recent success comes from two major films: Wicked: For Good and Jurassic World: Rebirth.

As of November 23, Wicked: For Good has earned $150 million in the United States and Canada, and another $76 million internationally, bringing its global total to $226 million.

However, the bulk of Bailey’s box office success this year comes from Jurassic World: Rebirth, which has racked up $339.6 million domestically and $529.2 million internationally, totaling $868.8 million worldwide. Altogether, Bailey’s films have brought in over $1.09 billion globally in 2025.

Bailey stars as Fiyero in Wicked: For Good, a role that has earned him praise from critics. The Guardian described him as someone who “uncorks an outrageous scene-stealer as the hetero-camp Fiyero,” while ABC News called his performance “a display of song, dance and acting virtuosity.” Bailey also contributed to the film’s soundtrack with the song “Dancing Through Life,” which reached number 86 on the Billboard Hot 100. His work in the film earned him a nomination for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role, and the film’s cast also received a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

In addition to his film work, Bailey appeared on stage in 2025 as the lead in Shakespeare’s Richard II at the Bridge Theatre, directed by Nicholas Hytner.

Bailey’s mix of blockbuster action, musical performance, and theater work has made 2025 a landmark year for him. His ability to balance major film projects with theater performances highlights his versatility and star power.
