Karen Fukuhara Teases Dream “Arya Stark Style” Showdown With Homelander in ‘The Boys’
The idea of an “Arya Stark moment” in The Boys is getting attention again after comments from Karen Fukuhara. She talked about her character Kimiko and what kind of ending she would like in the final season of the show.
The information comes from interviews reported during San Diego Comic-Con coverage and an interview with TV Guide. In those conversations, Fukuhara spoke about how she imagines her character’s story wrapping up, especially in relation to the main villain, Homelander.
She said she would like Kimiko to have a big hero moment similar to Arya Stark in Game of Thrones, where Arya kills the Night King in a shocking twist.
She explained, “I will say I want like the Arya Stark moment you know when she defeats the White Walker and nobody expected that, so perhaps, maybe Homelander can be taken out by Kimiko. I don’t know, that would be a good death, like if I’m going to take him out, I would be willing to die.”
Her idea is simple. She wants Kimiko to have a major impact in the final story of The Boys, even if it means the character does not survive. For her, it is about giving Kimiko a powerful and meaningful ending.
The report is based on comments published in entertainment coverage that followed Comic-Con interviews, where cast members were asked what kind of ending they would want for their characters.
In the same discussions, Fukuhara made it clear that she was thinking about a big emotional moment, not just a random twist. She connected Kimiko’s journey in The Boys to the idea of sacrifice and redemption, especially after everything the character has gone through in the story.
However, fans reacted strongly online, and many disagreed with the idea of copying the Arya Stark moment. The criticism comes from long-running debates about the ending of Game of Thrones, where Arya killing the Night King was controversial for some viewers who felt other characters should have had that role.

Even with that debate, Fukuhara’s comments are only her personal idea for how Kimiko’s story could end. The final decisions will be made by the show’s creators, not the cast.
Kimiko has become one of the most popular characters in The Boys, despite her quiet personality and painful past. Her journey has included trauma, loss, and forced transformation into a Supe, which makes any final confrontation with Homelander a major emotional moment for fans.
At this point, the final episode of The Boys has not aired yet, so nothing about Kimiko’s ending is confirmed. Fukuhara’s comments simply add to fan discussion about how the story might end and who could face Homelander in the final battle.
