Karl Urban Teases ‘The Boys’ Season 5 Finale: Confident It Will Satisfy Fans
Karl Urban is talking about the final season of The Boys, and he sounds pretty sure fans will be happy with how it ends. He recently said in an interview that the show has been built carefully over time, and the team has tried to stay true to the story and the characters all the way through to the end.
He explained it like this: “I sort of quietly confident that we land the ship in a way that is respectful to what we’ve set up. I think fans will be happy, and, you know, we have spent a lot of time and energy sort of investing in this world and these characters. Really at this point, we’re handing it over to an audience and our show becomes their show. So, you know, we hope they have as much fun watching as we had making it.”
There is also more talk around the final episode coming from Prime Video. They recently teased the final episode with a brand new teaser.
The final episode is expected to focus heavily on the final clash between Billy Butcher and Homelander. In the teaser, Butcher talks about stopping all Supes when he says: “We need to end the whole bloody notion of Supes.” The story also shows Ryan getting closer to Homelander, which adds more emotion and tension to their already complicated relationship.
There are also big action moments hinted at, like The Boys heading into the White House for a major confrontation involving Homelander and Vought forces. Some parts of the story suggest Kimiko is driven by revenge after what happens to Frenchie earlier in the season.

Creator Eric Kripke has also spoken about the direction of the final episode. He confirmed that Soldier Boy will not return after his final appearance in episode seven. He also said that the ending was not changed to fit in characters from Gen V, even though there were earlier ideas about crossover connections.
With all of this building up, fans are now just waiting for the final episode to arrive on Prime Video.
