Kate Hudson, 46, brought the glamour to the 63rd Annual ICG Publicists Awards on Friday, turning heads in a metallic silver gown. The actress wore a strapless dress with a crinkled texture inspired by aluminum foil and a structured hip detail that highlighted her curves.

She paired the look with black patent leather pumps and silver-and-black statement earrings, keeping the rest of her accessories minimal. Hudson let her blonde hair fall naturally and opted for classic makeup, letting her dress take center stage.

At the awards luncheon, Hudson received the Motion Picture Showperson of the Year Award for her long-standing contributions to film, just days before the Oscars. She was presented the honor by Gwyneth Paltrow. “Making movies is an extraordinary process. It doesn’t end when we wrap,” Hudson said in her acceptance speech, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “We are also tasked with bringing that magic to audiences, and publicity is a huge part of that. I’m the showperson and you’re the ship.”

Hudson is nominated for Best Actress at the 98th Academy Awards for her role as Claire Sardina in the musical drama Song Sung Blue, her first Oscar nomination in 25 years. She previously earned a Best Supporting Actress nod in 2001 for Almost Famous. The film, directed by Craig Brewer, tells the story of a Milwaukee-based Neil Diamond tribute act, Lightning & Thunder, and stars Hugh Jackman alongside Hudson.

Longtime family friend Kurt Russell expressed his support ahead of the Oscars, saying, “She’s up for her second Oscar. Goldie won one and was nominated twice. If Kate were to win, she and Goldie would share that, which would be a wonderful thing.” Russell added that he had adjusted his plans to attend the ceremony.

He also spoke fondly of Hudson and her mother Goldie Hawn, sharing, “She’s a great, fabulous person with a lot of talent… I feel incredibly lucky to have had the years and times that I’ve had with Goldie. We’ve shared a wonderful life.”

Kate Hudson’s silver gown and her well-deserved award made her the standout of the evening, showing that she continues to captivate both audiences and the industry with her style and talent. Her appearance is a reminder that she is not only a celebrated actress but also a fashion icon who commands attention effortlessly.

Hudson perfectly balanced glamour with sophistication at the ICG Publicists Awards. She proved that age doesn’t limit star power or style. What do you think of her metallic silver look and Oscar nod? Share your thoughts in the comments.
