Kate Hudson Flashes Her Toned Frame in a Sultry, Fringe-Forward Masterpiece
Kate Hudson is officially the queen of the 2026 awards season. On Sunday, Jan. 11, the Song Sung Blue actress arrived at the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards looking every bit like a silver-screen goddess, blending a 1970s disco aesthetic with a touch of 2000s nostalgia.
Walking the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton, Hudson opted for a gunmetal gray silk Giorgio Armani Privé gown that appeared to defy gravity. The vintage masterpiece, originally hailing from Armani’s Spring 2007 collection, was given a fresh 2026 update to help the star celebrate her big night as a nominee.

The gown featured a plunging halter neckline held together by two delicate strings, which showcased the star’s toned frame while emphasizing the precise couture craftsmanship of the house of Armani. Hidden Swarovski rhinestones lined the neckline, catching the light of every flashbulb as she moved.
Its most daring feature, however, was the “shredded” silk fringe and cascading strands of shimmering jewels that flowed down the body. This bias-cut design created a liquid-like, translucent effect that shimmered with a metallic glow, perfectly capturing the spirit of the era her new film portrays.
To complete the textured, metallic look, Hudson worked with her longtime stylist, Sophie Lopez. They chose to accessorize the gown with high-jewelry pieces from Garatti, including long diamond drop earrings and a coordinating bracelet.
The jewelry added a modern polish without distracting from the intricate detail of the dress. This meticulous approach to styling has been a hallmark of Hudson’s Song Sung Blue press tour, which has seen her embrace everything from sheer electric blue Vera Wang in Berlin to floral-embroidered numbers in London.
On the beauty side, the actress opted for a soft, glowy aesthetic that let her natural radiance shine. Hairstylist Glen Coco Oropeza pulled her signature blonde hair into a sleek, low bun, ensuring the dramatic neckline remained the focus.
Hudson’s appearance at the Globes was more than just a fashion statement; it was a celebration of her acclaimed performance in the musical drama Song Sung Blue. Starring alongside Hugh Jackman, Hudson plays Claire Sardina, one-half of a real-life married couple who formed a Neil Diamond tribute band in the 1970s.
