Kathryn Newton Dazzles in Curve-Hugging Red Velvet at ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’ Premiere
Kathryn Newton looked every bit like a Hollywood star as she walked the red carpet for the Rome premiere of her latest thriller, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, at the Casina Valadier on March 23. The 29-year-old actress embraced a bold, monochromatic style, wearing a vibrant red velvet gown that hugged her curves and radiated confidence.
Newton chose the Pualo dress from The New Arrivals, a sleek design with a structured, form-fitting bodice and a slightly scooped neckline. The rich velvet texture added depth, while the simple silhouette allowed the bright red color to take center stage.

The actress has been busy with a string of genre and horror hits, including Abigail and Lisa Frankenstein. In Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, she stars as Faith MacCaullay, the estranged sister of Samara Weaving’s character, Grace, who gets dragged into a terrifying new ritual. Newton shared with Page Six, “I was screaming and crying and rolling on the floor because they wrote it for me.” She explained that directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett personally reached out after working with her on Abigail.
The film features an ensemble cast, including returning star Samara Weaving and newcomers Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and David Cronenberg. Newton and Weaving’s on-screen chemistry has drawn attention, with many fans noting their striking resemblance as sisters. Newton commented, “I really did just wanna be around her all the time, and I ended up copying her in so many different things.”

Outside of horror, Newton is reportedly set to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Doomsday. She also has major roles lined up in the sci-fi thriller DreamQuil and the drama series Just One Day, based on Gayle Forman’s novels.
The Rome premiere was part of the global tour for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, which hit U.S. theaters on March 20, 2026. With the sequel performing well at the box office, fans are already speculating about a potential third film to complete the series.
