Kathryn Newton Turns Heads in Jaw-Dropping Look at ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’ SXSW Premiere
Kathryn Newton made a bold statement at the 2026 SXSW Film & TV Festival during the world premiere of Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. She wore a floral dress paired with a studded leather jacket.
The film continues the story of the 2019 cult hit, with Newton playing Faith MacCaullay, the younger sister of Samara Weaving’s Grace. Her character gets pulled into a deadly game controlled by a powerful cabal. Newton described working on the film as intense, saying, We spent most of the shoot covered in various stages of blood and dirt, so being here today in actual clothes feels like a luxury.

Outside of horror, Newton has been busy with other projects. She serves as a global ambassador for Ralph Lauren’s golf line and First Tee, showcasing her skills as a +2 handicap golfer. She is also rumored to appear in Young Avengers. Other recent projects include Lisa Frankenstein and Abigail.

The sequel is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of Radio Silence and features a cast including Elijah Wood and Shawn Hatosy. The film hits theaters nationwide on March 20.
