Osgood Perkins is back with a new horror movie called Keeper, and now we know exactly when it’s coming out. The creepy teaser trailer just dropped, giving fans a new look at the film, which is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2025. It was first supposed to come out in October, but the release got pushed back a bit.

Keeper is an American horror film written by Nick Lepard and directed by Perkins. The movie stars Tatiana Maslany, best known for Orphan Black, and Rossif Sutherland. Maslany plays a woman named Liz, and Sutherland plays Malcolm, a man who suddenly comes back to the city, leaving Liz alone and trapped in a place full of terrifying secrets.

According to the official description, she ends up “isolated and in the presence of an unspeakable evil that unveils the cabin’s horrifying secrets.”

The movie was first announced in May 2024 during the Cannes Film Market, where it was being sold to distributors. Perkins was already set to direct, and Maslany and Sutherland were attached as the lead actors.

Producers Chris Ferguson and Jesse Savath worked on the film under the Oddfellows banner. By July 2024, the movie had already finished filming. Jeremy Cox worked as the cinematographer.

At the Cannes Film Market, distribution rights were sold. Neon picked up the rights for the United States and also bought the worldwide rights, as the company expanded into global sales. In Canada, the movie will be distributed by Elevation Pictures.

If you’re wondering whether Keeper might be a hit, just look at Perkins’ recent success. His previous film Longlegs, which starred Nicolas Cage and Maika Monroe, was a surprise box office smash in 2024.

That film made $128 million on just a $10 million budget, becoming the highest-grossing indie movie of the year. Earlier this year, Perkins also released The Monkey, based on a Stephen King story, which earned $68.6 million globally.

The teaser trailer for Keeper doesn’t show too much, but it sets a spooky tone. It shows a group of women who clearly aren’t having a good time, though why they’re suffering remains unclear. The teaser leaves a lot of mystery, but fans of Perkins’ work will probably find that exciting.

For now, horror fans can mark November 14, 2025, on their calendars. After Longlegs and The Monkey, expectations for Keeper are high. Will it be another horror hit? Time will tell.
