Kevin Costner Turns to Unusual Cope After Being Labeled ‘Impossible to Work With’ in a New Report
Kevin Costner seems to be sailing through some stormy waters these days, both in Hollywood and out at sea.
A report from The Hollywood Reporter recently described the actor as “impossible to work with,” claiming that several people in the industry share that opinion.
The story also mentioned an incident on the Yellowstone set that apparently got so intense it brought one of his co-stars to tears.
According to the outlet, the trouble started during filming when Costner and his co-star Wes Bentley got into a heated argument about how a scene should be done.
Costner, who played John Dutton and was also an executive producer on the show, reportedly told Bentley to ignore parts of Taylor Sheridan’s script and perform it differently. Bentley didn’t take that suggestion well and reminded him that he had signed on for “a Taylor Sheridan show, not a Kevin Costner production.”
That response allegedly angered Costner. One witness told The Hollywood Reporter that the Oscar winner “lunged” at Bentley, leading to a brief physical confrontation before crew members stepped in. Actress Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton, was said to be upset by the fight, and production was paused afterward.
After the article came out, Page Six reported that Costner was furious about being labeled difficult. The outlet said he was trying to deal with the stress in a very unexpected way, by going deep-sea diving for treasure.
A source told Page Six that the actor has been “on a deep-sea diving binge to discover sunken treasure” and that his new obsession is paying off. The insider claimed Costner recently “found gold coins and emeralds in the Caribbean.”
Apparently, the Yellowstone star is now considering turning his new adventure into a TV series about searching for treasure around the world. However, according to the same source, no one has agreed to fund the project yet.
It seems like Costner is taking a break from the Hollywood chaos by exploring what lies beneath the ocean. Whether this is a temporary escape or a new chapter in his career, only time will tell.
What do you think about all this? Is Costner just misunderstood, or are the reports onto something? Share your thoughts in the comments.
