Despite that massive popularity, fans have waited patiently for any real confirmation that the character might eventually make the leap into live action alongside Tom Holland’s version of Peter Parker.
That wait finally got a genuine answer this week, with Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige addressing the topic directly and with more clarity than the studio has offered in years. His comments suggest the character’s live-action debut is not just a hopeful rumor but something actively being planned behind the scenes.
Feige confirmed that Marvel Studios definitely has plans to introduce Miles Morales in live-action, though the timing depends on Sony’s ongoing animated Spider-Verse trilogy wrapping up first. He explained that a live-action Spider-Man movie has this destiny, to add Miles sometime after the Spider-Verse series ends.
That destiny has been quietly building for years through small hints embedded across the MCU. Feige pointed to a specific line from ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ where Jamie Foxx’s Electro remarks that there’s always a black Spider-Man somewhere, a moment audiences widely interpreted at the time as a direct nod toward Miles.
According to Feige, Sony’s continued success with the Into the Spider-Verse franchise plays directly into the timing of any live action introduction.
