Kim Kardashian is venting after narrowly missing a passing score on the California Bar Exam, and she’s not holding back about who she blames, four psychics who assured her she would pass.

The reality star shared her frustration during a TikTok montage from her mom Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday, revealing that the fortune-tellers were “full of s***.” Kim told a friend on the phone, “Never trust them again,” calling the psychics “pathological liars.”

Despite the psychic mishap, Kardashian remains determined to become a lawyer. She announced her results on Instagram Friday night, ahead of the public release, and admitted she came very close to passing. “I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV,” she joked, referencing her role in the legal drama All’s Fair.

She explained that the setback is motivating rather than discouraging. “Falling short isn’t failure — it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more,” she wrote. Kardashian emphasized her commitment to continuing her studies: “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination.”

Kardashian has been studying law since 2018 through a California apprenticeship program, which lets aspiring lawyers train under licensed attorneys instead of attending a traditional law school. She completed her apprenticeship earlier this year while working at a San Francisco law firm.

Her interest in criminal justice reform goes back several years. She helped advocate for clemency for Alice Marie Johnson, a woman serving a life sentence for a nonviolent drug offense. Johnson was released in 2018, sparking Kardashian’s deeper involvement in legal advocacy. Since then, she has supported campaigns like “90 Days to Freedom,” which has helped free several long-term inmates, and backed bipartisan reforms such as the First Step Act, aimed at reducing harsh sentences for first-time offenders.

Law also runs in Kardashian’s family. Her late father, Robert Kardashian, was a well-known attorney who gained national attention as part of O.J. Simpson’s defense team in the 1990s.

This latest bar exam result isn’t her first setback. Kardashian failed the “baby bar” exam, a test for first-year law students studying outside accredited law schools, three times before passing it on her fourth attempt in 2021. “I failed this exam three times in two years, but I got back up each time and studied harder,” she said at the time.

Despite this challenge, she says she plans to continue her studies and take the full California Bar Exam again. Her determination to earn her law license remains strong, proving that she’s willing to keep working toward her goal no matter the obstacles.
