Kim Kardashian is back on set and diving into comedy with her latest Netflix project, The Fifth Wheel. The movie is directed by Eva Longoria and promises plenty of laughs with a talented ensemble cast including Fortune Feimster, Brenda Song, and Nikki Glaser.

The story follows a group of high school friends who reunite for a chaotic weekend in Las Vegas. Kardashian plays the glamorous outsider whose presence shakes up the group and forces them to confront the messiness in their own lives. “She’s the hot outsider that changes everything,” a source on set told The Daily Mail.
For her scenes, Kardashian wore a coordinated brown outfit with a long-sleeve sweater and matching pants, paired with a large furry bag and oversized sunglasses. She was seen holding an energy drink as she prepped for filming.

Production kicked off after a celebratory dinner earlier in the month with Longoria and the cast in Beverly Hills. The script was co-written by comedy veterans Paula Pell and Janine Brito, with Kardashian also serving as a producer through her own company.
Kim has been steadily building her acting career. She recently starred in the Hulu series All’s Fair, playing divorce lawyer Allura Grant. The show drew huge audiences and has been renewed for a second season, even though critics were mixed on her performance. Kardashian is also attached to Amazon MGM’s live-action Bratz movie, where she is set to play a villain.
Outside of acting, she continues to balance family and business. She recently graduated from law school, co-parents her four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, with Kanye West, and runs her billion-dollar shapewear brand SKIMS and skincare line SKKN by Kim.
The Fifth Wheel is part of Netflix’s 2026 slate of original films, alongside projects like the crime thriller The Rip and Enola Holmes 3. With Longoria directing and a comedic cast, the movie is expected to be a highlight for the streamer this year.
This film could show a new side of Kim Kardashian and help cement her as a comedic lead in Hollywood. Do you think she has what it takes to succeed in comedy, or is this just another reality star experiment? Share your thoughts in the comments.
