Kim Kardashian Slammed by PETA for Christmas Gifts to Her Kids

Kim Kardashian is facing criticism from animal rights group PETA after she gifted her four children Pomeranian puppies for Christmas.

The reality star, 45, shared a photo on her Instagram Stories showing all four puppies together, writing, “Each kid got a puppy.” Kardashian shares North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, with her ex-husband Kanye West.

PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk told the Daily Mail that Kardashian’s gift choice was problematic. “Puppies are not plushies, and it’s a damn shame that Kim missed the chance to be a spokesperson for shelter pups and instead is being rightly slammed on social media for that,” she said.

Newkirk added, “Ignoring the homeless animals crisis is inexcusably callous,” and suggested that Kardashian could make amends by involving her children in volunteer work at animal shelters or supporting local adoption events and spay days.

The criticism extends beyond Kim, as Newkirk also mentioned her sister Khloé Kardashian, 41, who recently welcomed a black Labrador puppy into her family.

Despite the backlash, Kardashian also shared a festive family photo in SKIMS pajamas, celebrating the holiday season with her kids.
