Kim Kardashian Stuns at Academy Museum Gala with Fully Covered, Dramatic Look
Kim Kardashian made a striking entrance at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night, arriving with her face completely covered by a sleek, couture mask.
Speaking exclusively to Variety on the red carpet, Kardashian revealed that her look was “Margiela couture,” designed by Glenn Martens.
She explained that she had flown in her favorite makeup artist from New York and was in full hair and makeup under the mask. “This is kind of a last-minute thing, so I’m sure he’s not so happy with it,” she said, adding that she planned to remove the mask once inside the gala.
Kardashian also connected the dramatic outfit to her own brand, saying, “It does look very Skims-y. That’s why I was drawn to it when the Margiela couture show came out. I saw this look and I was like, ‘That is so Skims to me.’” It remains unclear if she wore the mask during the evening’s dinner and program.
