Lindsay Lohan started her career in the spotlight at just three years old. Signed to Ford Models, she appeared in commercials for major brands and was a familiar face on television before she could read. Her acting career began in earnest with a role on the soap opera “Another World” at age 10.
But it was her dual role in Disney’s 1998 remake of The Parent Trap that made her a household name. The film was a critical and commercial success, showcasing her early talent and charm.
Following this breakthrough, Lohan became a prominent young star for Disney. She starred in a string of successful films for the studio, including Life-Size and Get a Clue. Her first film under this deal, the romantic comedy Falling for Christmas, was released in 2022 and became a number one hit for the streaming service. This was followed by other Netflix projects, including the 2024 film Irish Wish.
This period also brought significant positive changes to her personal life. She married financier Bader Shammas in 2022 and the couple welcomed a son in July 2023. Lohan has spoken about how motherhood and her life in Dubai have brought her a sense of peace and stability.
Her professional comeback continues to gain momentum. She is set to star in a sequel to the beloved film Freaky Friday, titled Freakier Friday, which is scheduled for a 2025 theatrical release, marking her return to Disney.
She is also expanding her work into producing, with an upcoming series for Hulu called Count My Lies. Lohan has expressed a desire to take on more diverse and challenging roles, moving beyond the teen comedies that defined her early career.
