Lindsay Lohan is making an apperance on The Simpsons by voicing the show’s youngest character, Maggie Simpson.

The episode, titled “Parahormonal Activity,” will air this Sunday on Fox. Lohan, 39, shared her excitement on Instagram, writing, “What a dream come true to be part of this iconic family.”

Maggie usually doesn’t speak on the show, communicating mostly through her pacifier and occasional grunts. When she does talk, Nancy Cartwright, who also voices Bart Simpson—typically provides her voice. Over the years, the show has allowed Maggie to speak in special episodes, dream sequences, or flash-forwards.

A sneak peek of the episode shared on social media shows a scene in the Simpson family kitchen where Maggie tries to warn Marge about Bart driving. The playful moment highlights Lohan’s guest voice role.

Many other stars have voiced Maggie in the past, including Elizabeth Taylor, Viola Davis, Jodie Foster, James Earl Jones, and Kevin Michael Richardson. Cartwright, 68, has been voicing Bart since the series began in 1989 and continues to work on the show, which has now been on air for 36 years.

In 2024, Cartwright expressed hope that The Simpsons could continue for many more seasons, joking that reaching 40 seasons while everyone is still alive would be incredible. She also praised the show’s new audience, noting that children today are discovering and binge-watching the series, bringing fresh energy to the longtime favorite.

“I’m constantly amazed. We’ve got this new energy behind ‘The Simpsons’ right now,” Cartwright said. She added that watching the show as a fan is a thrill for her, even after decades of working on it.
