She is trying to reconnect with the daughter she has never known and rebuild her life after her past mistakes. I think there’s something incredibly brave about Kenna, Monroe told reporters, explaining the emotional challenges of playing the character. She is a character who has lost everything and is forced to build a life out of the ashes of her own mistakes.
Reminders of Him, directed by Vanessa Caswill, has a strong supporting cast. Tyriq Withers stars as Ledger Ward, a local bar owner who becomes Kenna’s only ally, and Rudy Pankow plays Scotty, whose tragic death sets the story in motion. Lauren Graham and Bradley Whitford appear as Kenna’s daughter’s custodial grandparents, while Lainey Wilson makes her feature film debut as Amy, Kenna’s co-worker and friend. The film is set to premiere in theaters on March 13.
Monroe has had a busy year, taking on multiple projects that showcase her range as an actress.
