‘Man of Tomorrow’ Star Adria Arjona’s Halloween Costume Goes Prehistoric While the Wonder Woman Rumors Rage On
Few actresses have had a stranger year of internet speculation than Adria Arjona. Between a mystery role in the DC Universe and a high-profile A24 lead, she has been one of the most talked-about names of 2026. So when Halloween rolled around, fans were naturally curious about how she would celebrate.
The ‘Andor’ and ‘Hit Man’ star has built a reputation for taking big swings, both on screen and on the red carpet. Her recent run of press appearances for ‘Onslaught’ featured daring monochrome outfits and a peekaboo bra dress at one premiere, according to W Magazine. It’s a stylistic streak that makes her a fun person to watch on a holiday built around dressing up.

Photos from the holiday show Arjona in a prehistoric, cavewoman-style costume. The outfit features a cracked, amber-and-black patterned bikini top and mini skirt, with small bone details hanging from the skirt and a bone-trimmed headband in her long wavy hair. She completed the look with a chunky tooth-style necklace, fluffy black fur cuffs and matching fur boots.
The styling nails the Stone Age aesthetic without leaning on a full mask or prosthetics. Cavewoman costumes are a common Halloween pick, with retailers selling jagged-hem halter dresses and fur-trimmed sets for the 2026 season. Arjona’s version stands out for its glossy, textured fabric and the way she pairs it with handmade-looking bone accents.

The costume lands as Arjona remains at the center of one of the DCU’s biggest casting mysteries. She was announced in April as part of the cast of the 2027 ‘Man of Tomorrow,’ but neither James Gunn nor DC Studios has revealed her character. That has left fans guessing for months about whether she’s playing Wonder Woman or Maxima.
The speculation flared again on October 4, when Frank Grillo, who plays Rick Flag Sr., shared a fan-made ‘Man of Tomorrow’ poster on his Instagram Story that showed Arjona dressed as Wonder Woman. Gunn quickly stepped in on Threads, explaining that Grillo had simply reposted an image because it featured him. He added that Grillo doesn’t know who Arjona is playing in the DCU.

The rumor has been building for a while. Gunn once said Arjona would be a great Wonder Woman, and fans have pointed to her workout videos and her comments about preparing for a physically demanding role as possible hints. Arjona has also kept her cards close, and nothing in the official casting reports confirms which character she’s actually playing.
Reports have suggested she filmed her scenes late in the production of ‘Man of Tomorrow.’ Meanwhile, Gunn has said Wonder Woman is being written right now, although he has not announced an actress for the role. That leaves fan art and speculation to fill the gap, including images imagining Arjona in the character’s signature costume.
Away from the DC mystery, Arjona has had a full year. She stars in A24’s action slasher ‘Onslaught’ as Celeste, a traumatized army veteran who spends one horrifying night fighting off genetically modified soldiers, and she’s also an executive producer on the film. The movie had its Los Angeles premiere on August 26, followed by a New York press run in early September.
She also earned praise for ‘Splitsville’ at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, along with strong notices for ‘Blink Twice’ and ‘Andor,’ where she plays Bix Caleen. Arjona has addressed fan chatter about a Bix spinoff, saying that any future project depends on showrunner Tony Gilroy. It’s a varied run that shows how quickly her career has moved from supporting parts to leading roles.
For now, the Halloween photos are a lighthearted break from all the casting speculation. They also show an actress who is comfortable having fun with her public image, even while the internet debates what she might be hiding. Whether she turns out to be Wonder Woman or something else entirely, her costume proves she can steal attention with a few well-placed bones and some fur.
The answer to the DCU puzzle will have to wait until ‘Man of Tomorrow’ arrives in 2027, or until Gunn decides to reveal the secret. Until then, expect the rumors to keep circling, and expect Arjona to keep leaning into the fun.
