Hell’s Paradise first aired in 2023, running for 13 episodes. The series, based on Yūji Kaku’s manga, was directed by Kaori Makita and animated by MAPPA, with Twin Engine producing.
Crunchyroll streamed the series internationally outside of Asia, while Netflix handled the broadcast in the Asia Pacific region, excluding Mainland China and New Zealand.
The new trailer reveals several new characters arriving on the dangerous, monster-infested island, suggesting that the stakes will be even higher in the upcoming season. MAPPA has also announced the new voice actors joining the cast. Ryota Suzuki will voice Shugen, Koji Yusa will play Jikka, Maaya Uchida will take on the role of Kiyomaru, and Sayaka Ohara will bring Isuzu to life.
This confirmation has excited fans who have been waiting for almost three years to see what happens next. The combination of MAPPA’s animation, the returning cast and staff, and the addition of new characters promises a thrilling continuation of the dark, action-packed world.
The long wait will be worth it. Hell’s Paradise has built a strong foundation with its first season, and the new season looks set to raise the intensity even further. What do you think about the upcoming season and the new characters joining Gabimaru’s story? Share your thoughts in the comments.
