Marvel Confirms ‘Wonder Man’ Series Release Window and Episode Count for Disney+
Marvel Studios has confirmed that Wonder Man, the new Disney+ series, will premiere in January 2026.
The show will have eight episodes and is part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel also released the first trailer, giving fans a first look at the series.

The show stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, also known as Wonder Man, a superpowered actor and stuntperson auditioning for the lead role in a superhero TV series. He will be joined by Ben Kingsley returning as Trevor Slattery, Demetrius Grosse as Simon’s brother Eric Williams, Ed Harris as Simon’s agent Neal Saroyan, and Arian Moayed as Department of Damage Control agent P. Cleary.
Other actors, including Zlatko Burić, Lauren Glazier, Josh Gad, Byron Bowers, Béchir Sylvain, and Manny McCord, have been cast in undisclosed roles.
Wonder Man was created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, with Guest serving as showrunner. Cretton directed the first two episodes, while Stella Meghie, James Ponsoldt, and Tiffany Johnson directed other episodes.
Filming began in April 2023 in Los Angeles but was briefly paused due to the Writers Guild of America strike. Production resumed in early 2024 and wrapped by April.
