WEBTOON is about to get a lot scarier. After recently bringing Spider-Man and Star Wars to the platform, the popular digital comic hub is now teaming up with Disney and Marvel to launch Alien in a new mobile-friendly format.

Collider revealed that fans will be able to dive into the terrifying series tonight at 8 p.m. ET.

This release takes the 2021 Marvel comic Alien: Bloodlines and reshapes it for WEBTOON’s scrolling style. The story is set right after James Cameron’s Aliens and continues the deadly legacy of Ridley Scott’s original movie. It follows Gabriel Cruz, a man who once worked for Weyland-Yutani and even lived through a face-to-face encounter with a Xenomorph.

Now retired, he just wants to reconnect with his estranged son. With the help of an android designed in the likeness of Bishop, Gabriel tries to rebuild his life. But trouble doesn’t let him go for long. Before he knows it, his family is caught up in another fight against the terrifying creatures that once nearly killed him.

The series was created with support from 20th Century Studios. Writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson, known for his work with DC, Marvel, and even a James Bond series, wrote the story. X-Men artist Salvador Larroca brought the terrifying visuals of the Xenomorph to life. Collider shared an exclusive preview showing Gabriel trapped in a deadly scene.

A dead body, facehuggers crawling in the shadows, and the sudden arrival of the Xenomorph make it clear why this is a nightmare he’ll never escape. “Presumably, this is the attack that Gabriel was the sole survivor of,” Collider explained, highlighting the panic of Gabriel’s friend as the monster closes in.

Disney and WEBTOON’s partnership is part of a much larger plan to reintroduce classic stories and characters to a younger, digital audience. This deal includes Marvel, Star Wars, and even animated classics like Beauty and the Beast. Alien is only one of around 100 Disney-connected stories that will eventually appear on the platform.
