Marvel Studios’ upcoming ‘X-Men’ reboot is reportedly getting closer to completing its main cast, with nearly the entire mutant lineup said to be in place. The project has been one of the most talked-about Marvel movies for years, with fans constantly creating their own dream casts long before the studio officially confirmed that a new version of the team was coming.

According to rumors shared by insider account @ApocHorseman, Marvel has already locked in most of the major roles for the reboot. However, it is important to note that Marvel Studios has not officially announced the full cast yet, meaning many of the names currently circulating should still be treated as reports rather than confirmed information.

The project has gained more attention recently following the arrival of Sadie Sink’s Jean Grey in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day.’ Her appearance reportedly marked the first major step toward introducing Marvel’s new version of the X-Men into the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Sink’s casting had been rumored for more than a year before it was confirmed. The actress even addressed the speculation during an interview with Entertainment Weekly last November, revealing that she had already heard the Jean Grey rumors before she personally knew what role she would be playing.

Following Sink’s debut, reports claimed that Samara Weaving had joined the upcoming ‘X-Men’ film as Emma Frost. If accurate, Weaving would become one of the first officially reported additions to the new mutant team outside of Sink’s Jean Grey.

The rumored cast lineup making rounds online includes several major names. Reports suggest Inde Navarrette could play Mystique, Charles Melton could take on the role of Beast, Cailee Spaeny could portray Rogue, Jayme Lawson could appear as Storm, Drew Starkey could play Cyclops, Adam Driver could join as Mister Sinister, and Bill Skarsgård could be considered for Professor X.

Some of these rumors have gained attention because of comments from the actors themselves. Navarrette previously revealed on Variety’s Up Next podcast that she had met with director Jake Schreier. When asked which X-Men character she would like to play, she mentioned Mystique, saying she “giggles” whenever new X-Men casting rumors appear because she “knows the truth.” Her comments immediately increased speculation among fans.

The villain side of the casting rumors has also been filled with uncertainty. Adam Driver was previously linked to Magneto, but newer reports have suggested that he could instead be playing Mister Sinister. Meanwhile, Skarsgård has reportedly been among several actors considered for the role of Professor X.

One of the biggest unanswered questions remains the casting of Cyclops. Several actors, including Cooper Hoffman, Harris Dickinson, and Drew Starkey, have been rumored for the role at different points. So far, no official confirmation has been made about who will lead the new team as Scott Summers.

Director Jake Schreier is attached to lead the project, which is expected to help introduce Marvel’s mutant characters into the MCU following years of anticipation. The film is also expected to build on the groundwork being created through recent Marvel projects that have started bringing X-Men-related characters into the franchise.

While fans may have to wait a little longer for official confirmation, expectations are high that Marvel could reveal more details during Disney’s upcoming D23 event. A full cast announcement would likely become one of the biggest Marvel reveals in recent years.

For now, fans are left following rumors, insider reports, and small hints from actors as they wait to see who will officially become the next generation of Marvel’s X-Men.
