Maya Hawke Voices Blumhouse’s Thrilling Netflix Series ‘Nightmares of Nature’ – Trailer Out Now
Netflix is set to explore the darker side of the natural world with a new documentary series called Nightmares of Nature. Produced by Blumhouse Television and Plimsoll Productions, the series is narrated by Maya Hawke, known for her role in Stranger Things.
The first season, titled Cabin in the Woods, will premiere on September 30. It follows three young animals—a soon-to-be mother mouse, a bachelor raccoon, and a young frog—as they face the dangers of the New England wilderness. When they find an old cabin, they think it might be safe, but soon learn that true safety is hard to come by in the wild.

The second season, Lost in the Jungle, arrives on October 28. This time, the focus is on a young opossum, a newly hatched iguana, and a spirited jumping spider. Their struggle to survive intensifies when they encounter an abandoned laboratory deep in the Central American rainforest. Lost and surrounded by threats at every turn, they must navigate the dangerous environment to stay alive.
Each season contains three episodes, each lasting about 45 minutes. Nathan Small directs the first season, while Charlotte Lathane takes the helm for the second. Doug Mackay-Hope serves as producer, with Jason Blum as executive producer.
Nightmares of Nature shows that life in the wild is not always as beautiful as it seems. “It’s not always a happy story out there in nature,” Maya Hawke said, “and this series doesn’t shy away from that.” The series mixes real-life animal behavior with suspenseful storytelling, giving viewers both an educational and thrilling experience.

This series is a fresh take on nature documentaries. By combining danger, survival, and storytelling, it promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. What do you think about Nightmares of Nature? Share your thoughts in the comments.
