Meet the Cast of Apple TV’s ‘Matchbox: The Movie’ (with Pictures)
Directed by Sam Hargrave and written by David Coggeshall, Apple TV’s upcoming action-comedy film ‘Matchbox: The Movie‘ brings Mattel’s iconic toy vehicle brand to live-action cinema. The narrative centers on former soldier Sean Walker, who reunites with childhood friends only to be framed for the theft of a missing nuclear warhead.
In order to clear their names, the group must band together to steal the weapon back from the real culprits. Scheduled for release on October 9, 2026, the feature boasts an expansive ensemble of prominent film and television performers.

John Cena leads the production as Sean Walker, a former soldier and spy caught in the middle of a national security crisis.
