Michelle Pfeiffer, 67, Proves Age Is Just a Number in Her Recent Appearance at Apple TV Press Event
Michelle Pfeiffer is proving that some icons only get better with age as she enters a remarkably prolific new chapter of her storied career.
The 67-year-old actress was the picture of timeless sophistication at the Apple TV Press Day on Tuesday, February 3. Stepping out in a stunning, monochromatic beige ensemble, Pfeiffer joined her co-star Elle Fanning to celebrate the reveal of their upcoming series. The event served as the global launch for the first teaser of Margo’s Got Money Troubles, a darkly comedic dramedy that is already one of the most anticipated releases of the spring season.

The series, which is set to premiere on April 15, follows Margo (Elle Fanning), a community college dropout struggling to keep her head above water following an unplanned pregnancy. The teaser, set to the rhythmic pulse of Meek Mill’s Fabulous, highlights the chaotic reality of Margo’s life as she navigates mounting costs. In a particularly memorable moment, she is seen dramatically lying down in the middle of a Bloomingdale’s aisle, only to be promptly chided by her mother, Shyanne (Pfeiffer).

There are no victims in Bloomingdale’s, Shyanne declares, perfectly setting the tone for their complicated family dynamic. To solve her financial crisis, Margo launches an unconventional alien-themed fetish account on OnlyFans, often appearing painted entirely green. The teaser also introduces Nick Offerman as Margo’s father, Jinx, an ex-pro wrestler fresh out of rehab who questions his daughter’s new line of work. Margo simply replies that she is making educational videos.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles is an adaptation of Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling novel by showrunner David E. Kelley, who is also Pfeiffer’s husband. During the press event, Kelley shared a lighthearted moment regarding his wife’s casting. He joked that her agreeing to play the role of Shyanne was the second best ‘yes’ I’ve gotten from her.
This project is just the beginning of a massive 2026 for Pfeiffer. She is also set to lead the highly anticipated Yellowstone spinoff, The Madison, which premieres on Paramount+ on March 14. In this neo-Western drama, she stars as Stacy Clyburn, the matriarch of a New York City family who moves to Montana to heal following a central tragedy. The series features an all-star supporting cast including Kurt Russell, Matthew Fox, and Patrick J. Adams.
Fans of the actress also have her recent holiday hit, Oh. What. Fun., to catch up on, where she played the festive glue holding together a chaotic family. Beyond her current streak of “prestige TV” roles, Pfeiffer has indicated that she plans to take a well-deserved step back later in 2026 to focus on her new role as a grandmother.
She recently shared that her daughter, Claudia Rose, welcomed a baby, and Pfeiffer is looking forward to spending more meaningful time with her family.
The series also features a powerhouse ensemble including Nicole Kidman, Thaddea Graham, and Marcia Gay Harden, with the first three episodes dropping in mid-April followed by weekly releases through May. With two major leading roles in the span of a single spring, 2026 is officially the year of the “Pfeiffer-ssance.”
