‘Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice’ Star Eiza González Turns Heads Again in New Photos of Her White Satin Academy Museum Gala Gown
Eiza González has spent 2026 building one of Hollywood’s most reliable red carpet résumés. From award-show black to sheer evening looks, the Mexican actress and singer has made fashion almost as big a part of her year as her screen work. It’s the kind of run that keeps fans watching every new appearance.
Her recent film slate has fueled that attention. She stars in Guy Ritchie’s action-thriller ‘In the Grey’ alongside Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, appeared in Boots Riley’s ‘I Love Boosters’, which premiered at SXSW, and starred in the action-comedy ‘Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice’. Fans also know her from ‘3 Body Problem’ and her breakout role in ‘Baby Driver’.

The latest buzz comes from a fresh set of photos tied to her look at the 6th Annual Academy Museum Gala on October 17 in Los Angeles. The new images show González in the flowing ivory satin gown with an open back and a cape-like panel trailing from one shoulder. One frame places her on a brick staircase at night, and another catches her mid-motion as the fabric swirls around her.
The photos arrive just days after the gala itself and have fans swooning all over again. They give the look a second life, with a more intimate setting than the carpet and more room to see how the gown moves.

The dress is the Ralph Lauren Collection ‘Posie’ one-shoulder satin gown from the Spring 2026 collection, styled by Elizabeth Saltzman. It’s a bias-cut ivory satin slip with a single strap, a deep plunge in front and a low open back, and the long drape from the shoulder trails behind her. In full-length shots she kept turning and swishing the extra fabric so it flew out behind her.

The jewelry came from David Yurman, including the Liberty Baguette drop earrings and a stack of two bracelets, the Floating Diamonds twist bangle and the Floating Diamonds cuff. Her glossy brunette waves and softly defined makeup kept the focus on the gown. The overall effect leaned classic, with one writer describing it as old Hollywood elegance.

The gala has been dubbed the “Met Gala of the West” and raises money for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, supporting its exhibitions, public screenings and educational programs. Last year’s edition honored Bruce Springsteen, Penélope Cruz, Bowen Yang and Walter Salles and raised more than $12 million for the museum. Its October timing, right after Fashion Month, often means guests arrive in looks straight from the runway.
González has history with the event. She attended the 2022 edition in a sequined LaQuan Smith dress, so the white satin look marked a very different style statement. Her return was among the night’s standout arrivals, and the gown was widely noted for its simplicity.
This look fits a busy 2026 fashion run. She wore a black Armani Privé gown from the Fall-Winter 2025 couture collection with a deep burgundy lip to the Actor Awards, and a silver embroidered Miu Miu dress to the Vanity Fair Oscar party. She also turned up in a plunging look at the SXSW premiere of ‘I Love Boosters’.
Taken together, the looks show a clear pattern of bold silhouettes and strong colors, with white satin now added to the mix. It’s also a reminder of how carefully a red carpet moment can be built, with a stylist, a designer and a jeweler all working toward a single image. The new photos prove the work is paying off beyond the night itself.
González’s screen career is just as busy, which keeps her in the spotlight even between premieres. With ‘In the Grey’ having reached theaters on May 15 and her other projects landing this year, the red carpet appearances are part of a larger push. For fans, the new gala photos are a nice reminder that she’s one of the most dependable style stars on any carpet.
