“Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” Season 2 Sets Premiere Date With New Teaser
Apple TV has announced that Monarch: Legacy of Monsters will return for its second season on Friday, February 27, 2026.
The new season will have ten episodes, with the first episode dropping on the premiere date. After that, a new episode will be released every Friday until May 1. Alongside the announcement, the streamer shared a teaser trailer and a first-look image.
The show follows two siblings as they investigate their family’s ties to a secret organization called Monarch. Their search uncovers monsters and leads them to Army officer Lee Shaw, played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell. Season one jumps between the 1950s and the present day, showing how Monarch faces dangers connected to what Shaw knows.

Kurt Russell will return as Lee Shaw in the new season. His story ended on a cliffhanger last season, when the older Lee stayed behind to fix a portal for the crew. Unfortunately, he fell off the ship and was pulled into Hollow Earth as the others returned.
According to Apple TV, season two will pick up with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance.
The new episodes will reveal hidden secrets that bring heroes and villains back together on Kong’s Skull Island. The story will also take viewers to a mysterious village where a Titan rises from the sea. The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a titan event on the horizon.
The season also stars Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm.
