Monica Bellucci made a glamorous appearance at the 2026 BAFTA Film Awards in London, turning heads with her striking style. She wore an off-the-shoulder black gown by Stella McCartney that hugged her curves perfectly and paired it with a standout Cartier High Jewelry necklace from the En Équilibre collection.

The necklace, featuring diamonds and sapphires in an asymmetrical design, was first shown in Stockholm in May 2025, according to the New York Times.

Bellucci, who has been a longtime ambassador for Cartier, spoke to Vogue Scandinavia about her love for jewelry. “Each time I wear Cartier pieces it feels like stepping into a timeless moment,” she said. “High Jewelry is for me about emotion and memory, those moments stay with you.”

She added, “To me, jewelry is a form of identity that can be feminine and powerful. There is a kind of seduction when you wear jewelry… When I was a teenager, I would see my mother and grandmother preparing to go out, and their final touch was jewelry. They would look proud and feminine wearing them. It is those moments that shaped my interest in jewelry.”

Bellucci has a long history with Cartier and has worn iconic pieces at other major events. In 2006, she wore the María Félix crocodile necklace at Cannes, becoming the only woman besides Félix to wear it. She also wore a Cartier necklace in 2019 at Cannes that paid tribute to the same famous piece, featuring 46.45 carats of diamonds and emeralds.

Although Bellucci was not nominated for an award at the 2026 BAFTAs, she attended to present an award, continuing her reputation as a red carpet icon.

Monica Bellucci looked effortlessly elegant and commanding on the red carpet. Her choice of a sleek black gown combined with such a bold jewelry piece shows her ability to balance glamour and sophistication. What do you think about her look and the Cartier necklace?
