Actress Natasha Lyonne has responded after reports claimed she was removed from a flight, an incident that also caused her to miss a scheduled interview with Drew Barrymore.

The situation came to light after Page Six reported that Lyonne was escorted off a red-eye flight traveling from Los Angeles to New York City. According to the outlet, the issue began when she allegedly did not follow instructions from flight attendants. It was claimed that she appeared to be asleep behind sunglasses and had not fastened her seatbelt, which led crew members to remove her from the plane.

Lyonne did not directly confirm those details, but she addressed the situation on X on April 9. In her post, she wrote, “My heart is with all the unpaid TSA agents at our airports. Sure was looking forward to speaking honestly with @DrewBarrymore yesterday but guess wasn’t in the cards.” Her message confirmed that she missed the planned interview because of the travel disruption.

She also appeared to question the report itself, adding in the same post, “Who owns page six/New York Post now again?”

The reported incident happened shortly after Lyonne attended a public event in Los Angeles. She had been at the premiere of the third season of the TV show Euphoria on April 7, just hours before boarding the flight mentioned in the report.

So far, there has been no official comment from the airline. E! News reported that it contacted both Lyonne’s representatives and the airline for a response but did not receive one.

Away from this situation, Lyonne has recently shared updates about her personal life. Earlier this year, she spoke openly about relapsing after nearly a decade of sobriety. In March, she posted a more positive update, writing, “Proud to report this kid is doing a whole lot better & back on her feet.” She also thanked those who supported her, saying, “Want to thank our recovery communities & the fans who stood by & were so supportive.”

She added that she plans to stay private about her journey for now, but may share more in time. In an earlier message, she also reminded others going through similar struggles, “Recovery is a lifelong process. Anyone out there struggling, remember you’re not alone.”

At this point, the full details of what happened on the flight remain unclear. Lyonne has not directly addressed the specific claims, but she has acknowledged the situation and the impact it had on her plans.

This situation shows how quickly reports can spread before all sides of a story are fully clear. It also highlights how public figures often respond in indirect ways rather than giving full statements right away. People may have different opinions on whether the report is accurate or not, especially without confirmation from all parties involved. What do you think about this situation? Do you believe the reports, or do you think there is more to the story? Share your thoughts in the comments.
