Netflix and A24 are teaming up to turn the popular cooking video game Overcooked into a reality competition series. Deadline reports that A24 has picked up the rights to the game and is working with Netflix to create an unscripted show inspired by its chaotic and funny gameplay.

The series will bring the spirit of Overcooked to life, with contestants racing to cook and serve dishes under pressure. The show is said to follow the same fun, family-friendly tone as other Netflix hits like Nailed It! and Floor Is Lava, mixing teamwork, time limits, and total kitchen chaos.

The project is still in the early stages, but several key people from Ghost Town Games, the studio behind Overcooked, are involved. Gemma Langford, Oli De-Vine, and Phil Duncan are on board as executive producers alongside A24, which is stepping into the reality competition world for the first time.

In the Overcooked video game, up to four players work together to prepare and deliver meals before time runs out. The kitchens are full of moving platforms, fires, and other hazards, making communication and teamwork essential. The TV version is expected to capture that same mix of speed, teamwork, and hilarious disaster that fans love.

A24 and Netflix haven’t shared when the show will premiere or what the format will look like, but fans are already excited to see how the game’s kitchen chaos translates to real life.
