Netflix Launches Groundbreaking Feature Set to Transform Your Streaming
Netflix is making it easier for users to see which shows and movies are about to leave the platform. The streaming service has introduced a new category called “Last Chance to Watch,” which collects all content that will soon be removed.
This update is part of a larger redesign of Netflix’s interface, which is gradually rolling out on TVs, phones, tablets, and computers. The platform already has thousands of categories to organize its library, often called “secret codes.”
Each category groups titles by genre or theme. The new “Last Chance to Watch” category has the code 82120713, which can also be accessed directly online. It works best on the web but is partially available on other devices.
While the feature is helpful, it is not perfect. Some titles appear even though they won’t leave for months, and others that are leaving soon may not show up. Netflix currently doesn’t let users sort titles by their removal date, so viewers still need to check each title individually for the exact date it leaves.
Before this update, Netflix indicated upcoming removals with small stickers on the title tile or a note on the title’s page. Press newsletters also shared limited lists. The new category is the first time all leaving content is grouped in one place, making it easier to catch anything before it disappears.
This change comes as Netflix continues experimenting with its interface. Earlier this year, the platform began rolling out a major UI refresh, which received mixed reactions. Netflix has also tested removing the “Netflix Original” label from some titles on the web.
Overall, the “Last Chance to Watch” category is a helpful addition for viewers who want to stay on top of Netflix’s constantly changing library. While it still has limitations, it makes spotting content that’s leaving much simpler.
I think this feature is a practical step for Netflix users who often miss shows or movies before they leave. Even with some glitches, having all the leaving titles in one place is a big improvement. What do you think about this update? Share your thoughts in the comments.
