Netflix has shared the first teaser art for the new Peaky Blinders movie titled The Immortal Man. The announcement confirms that the film will continue the story of the original series.

According to the information released by Netflix, the movie will arrive in select cinemas on March 6, 2026, and then hit the streaming platform on March 20.

The story itself is still being kept quiet, but Netflix describes the film as an epic return to the world of early-1900s Birmingham. This is the setting that helped the TV show become a global hit. Cillian Murphy is once again playing Tommy Shelby, the role he led through all six seasons of the show.

The Immortal Man is directed by Tom Harper and written by Steven Knight, the creator of the original series. The cast list includes several returning actors such as Stephen Graham, Sophie Rundle, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck. New faces like Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Jay Lycurgo, and Barry Keoghan are also joining the film.

The idea of a Peaky Blinders movie has been around for a few years. Steven Knight first talked about it back in early 2021, before the final season of the show aired.

Actor Cillian Murphy also shared his thoughts in an interview with Rolling Stone in May 2023. He said, “If there’s more story there, I’d love to do it. But it has to be right. Steve Knight wrote 36 hours of television, and we left on such a high. I’m really proud of that last series. So, it would have to feel legitimate and justified to do more.” Later that year, Knight confirmed that the script was close to finished.

The film is planned as a direct continuation of the series, not a reboot. Fans who followed the Shelby family across all six seasons can expect the movie to pick up the story in a new way while keeping the same tone and world.
