Netflix has confirmed that A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder will return for a third season, and it will also be the final chapter of the story.

The show stars Emma Myers as Pip, a high school student who becomes an amateur detective. Across three seasons, the series follows Pip as she investigates increasingly dark and dangerous cases. According to the press release, Season 3 will “bring Pip’s ultimate investigation to its gripping conclusion,” closing out the adaptation of Jackson’s novels.

Production on the final season has already been completed. The fourth-episode season is set to arrive in 2027, but not all regions will get it on Netflix. Different platforms will handle distribution in some countries. In Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the season will stream on ZDFneo. Viewers in Australia will watch it on Stan, while New Zealand will get it on Sky NZ. In the United Kingdom, it will air on BBC iPlayer, BBC One, and BBC Three.

Emma Myers shared her reaction to finishing the series, saying, “I’m very happy that we get to bring everyone Season 3 of ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.’ Thank you so much to everyone who has given this show love and support throughout! This has truly been an incredible experience and Pip will be a character I will never forget. Book 3 is my favorite of all the books, so I’m very excited to show everyone what we’ve done. Get ready for a crazy time!”

Author Holly Jackson also spoke about the conclusion of the adaptation. She said, “I am ecstatic that we are able to bring ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ to its (bloody) conclusion. ‘As Good as Dead’ is my favorite of the book series and it’s by far my favorite season of the show too. You’ll see Pip as you’ve never seen her before. It’s dark, breathless, horrible and… somehow still manages to be funny. Come on back to Little Kilton for the final time… if you dare.”

Alongside Emma Myers, the returning cast includes Zain Iqbal, Henry Ashton, Asha Banks, Jude Morgan-Collie, Eden H Davies, and Yali Topol Margalith. Their characters are expected to continue playing key roles as Pip’s final investigation unfolds.

The series is produced by Moonage Pictures, part of ITV Studios, in collaboration with Netflix and ZDFneo. It is directed by Tom Vaughan. Executive producers include Matthew Read, Simon Crawford Collins, and Frith Tiplady for Moonage Pictures, along with Danielle Scott-Haughton and Katherine Bond for the BBC. Holly Jackson, Emma Myers, and Tom Vaughan also serve as executive producers.

With Season 3 confirmed as the last, the story of Pip is set to end where it began, in the small town of Little Kilton, bringing the mystery saga to a full close in 2027.
