Netflix Sets Sail: ‘One Piece’ Season 2 Gets a Release Date and a New Look
Netflix has officially confirmed that One Piece Season 2 will arrive on March 10, marking the return of the live-action adventure inspired by Eiichiro Oda’s legendary manga.
The show continues to follow Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, as they sail across dangerous seas in search of the ultimate treasure known as the “One Piece.” The first season ended with Luffy defeating Arlong and freeing the Conomi Islands, before the crew took off for their next journey. The story will now pick up from there, taking the pirates deeper into the Grand Line.

The upcoming season will explore several key locations from the manga, including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island.
Fans will finally get to meet one of the most beloved characters in the One Piece universe, Tony Tony Chopper. Creator Eiichiro Oda confirmed the reindeer doctor’s appearance, while executive producer Matt Owens shared that “Dr. Kureha will play a major part in the second installment.”
The main cast is returning, with Iñaki Godoy leading as Luffy, joined by Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, Taz Skylar, Morgan Davies, and Jeff Ward. Alongside them, Netflix is adding a long list of new faces to expand the world. The new season will feature Mikaela Hoover, Rigo Sanchez, Yonda Thomas, James Hiroyuki Liao, Sophia Anne Caruso, Joe Manganiello, and several others joining the crew and supporting cast.
The first season of One Piece became one of Netflix’s most successful live-action anime adaptations, praised for capturing the spirit of the original story while bringing it to life with stunning visuals and heartfelt performances. With Season 2, Netflix seems ready to go even bigger, introducing fan-favorite arcs and characters that long-time fans have been waiting to see.
