Netflix Unleashes New Look at ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ With a New Trailer
A new trailer has arrived for the upcoming film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, and fans finally have a clearer look at what is coming next for the Shelby story. The trailer was released by Netflix and confirms the return of Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby.
This time, the story moves into the era of World War II and shows the character dealing with his past and his future. The film teases that he “must face his own demons, and choose whether to confront his legacy, or burn it to the ground.”
Several familiar faces are back. Stephen Graham returns as Hayden Stagg, while Sophie Rundle appears again as Ada Thorne. The trailer also introduces new characters played by Tim Roth and Jay Lycurgo. They join new cast members Rebecca Ferguson and Barry Keoghan. Returning actors Packy Lee and Ian Peck are also back as Johnny Dogs and Curly.

The film is directed by Tom Harper and written by series creator Steven Knight. Knight explained to RadioTimes how the pandemic changed the original plan for the series ending. He said, “The only thing I knew at the beginning was I wanted to take it between the two wars. So I wanted to begin when First World War ends and end when the Second World War begins.”
He added, “COVID had a say in it because season seven had to be scrapped. So instead of ending it at the Second World War, in season seven, we’ve made a film which is out very soon and is fantastic, which takes us up to the Second World War.”
The movie will close Tommy Shelby’s main story. However, the franchise is not ending. Plans are already in place for two more seasons of the show set in the 1950s, focusing on a new generation in Birmingham. The film will arrive in select cinemas on March 6 and will begin streaming on March 20.
Turning the planned final season into a movie feels like a smart move. It gives the story a bigger and more dramatic ending. Fans have waited a long time to see what happens next, and the World War II setting raises the stakes even more. What do you think about this film and the future of the franchise?
